California and Seoul: Hope

It has been 120 years since Koreans immigrated to the United States, but there are only a few places that commemorate and recognize our history, particularly Dosan (Ahn Chang-ho), a Korean activist who was most notable for his leadership in the Korean-American immigration movement.

Hosted by KARTUS, our exhibition, California and Seoul: Hope, displays 120 selected works from artists currently living in Korea to highlight Dosan’s legacy to the United States. As he brought hope from Korea to America, we hope that we may also send that hope from America to Korea.
